Decide what is inventoried and followed
Policy rules control which resources are skipped and which are tracked, so metrics and cost are followed without enabling them one by one.

Policy rules
Under the organization's Inventory & Tracking tab. They take effect on the next inventory sync of each account.
- Inventory exclusions
- Resources matching a rule are skipped on every sync.
- Auto-tracking
- Matching resources start being tracked automatically. You can also exclude resources from tracking, or track everything.
- How a rule matches
- A rule can filter by type, name (a glob such as sh.helm.*), tag and metadata. Empty fields match anything, all filled fields must match, and any matching rule is enough. Matching ignores case, and a tag or metadata value left empty or set to * only requires the key.
- Per-account override
- Each account can replace the organization defaults in its Tracking tab. Leave it empty to inherit them.
Tags map
- What it shows
- Every tag key found on your resources, how many values it takes and how many resources carry it.
- What it is for
- Pick the keys and values for auto-tracking rules and cost allocation groups.
A resource's page
- Views
- Overview, relations, findings, metrics, cost and Terraform. Only the views with data for that resource are shown.
- Metrics
- Utilisation over the last 7 days: the data behind right-sizing and idle-resource recommendations.
- Cost
- Billed cost over time and split by usage type, when billing data is available.
Acting on several resources
Organization → Inventory & Tracking → Resources, and the audit pages.
- Select
- Tick the rows you want. A bar shows how many are selected and the actions you can apply.
- Start tracking / Stop tracking
- Follow, or stop following, all the selected resources at once. Starting is capped by your plan's resource limit (see Plans & limits).
- Delete
- Available on the Resources list. It removes the selected resources from the inventory, with their metrics and findings. Resources that still exist and match your inventory rules are collected again at the next sync.
- Excluded by filters
- Resources that no longer match the inventory rules are flagged. They disappear after the next sync; Select excluded picks them so you can delete them now.
