How it works

Inventory runs today; cost import is not available — Better Stack has no billing API.

Inventory
Discovers and syncs monitors, heartbeats, status pages and their resources from the Better Stack Uptime API, and telemetry sources from the Telemetry API, on a schedule or on-demand.
Reliability
Flags monitors and heartbeats currently reporting down, and status page resources publicly showing degraded or down.
Hygiene
Flags long-paused monitors, heartbeats and telemetry sources, unpublished status pages, and unusually long data retention, for cleanup.

Better Stack has no billing API, so subscription spend cannot be imported — inventory and findings still work.

API token

Covers monitors, heartbeats, status pages and telemetry sources.

  1. Create the token in Better Stack under Settings → API tokens (the account's credentials tab links here too). Read access is enough — this app never writes to Better Stack.

  2. Use a global API token: a token limited to Uptime cannot list telemetry sources, which are then skipped while monitors, heartbeats and status pages keep syncing.

  3. Go to Organization → Integrations → Cloud Accounts → Add Account, pick Better Stack, and paste the token.

First sync

Once the account is saved, inventory runs on the next hourly cycle — or trigger it immediately from the account's detail page. Discovered Monitors and Heartbeats appear under Audit → Better Stack.
